Installing the Magento Fraud Alert Module

Prerequisites

If you don't have a MaxMind account you will need to create one here.

Installing the Module

Once you have purchased the module you will have a download link available in your account. The download for the installation module consists of a single zip file containing the files to be added to your Magento directory.

• Move the Directshop FraudDetection zip file into the root directory of your Magento installation (this should be the same directory that has your index.php file)
• Unzip the zip file, making sure to keep the directory structure intact
• Refresh the cache in your Magento Administration panel. Go to System -> Cache Management set the 'All Cache' dropdown to Refresh and click 'Save cache settings')
• Logout from Magento Administration and log back in.

Setting up the Module

• Within your Magento Administration panel, go to Settings->Configuration and click on 'Fraud Detection' from the left menu, under the Sales sub heading.
• Enter your score threshold in the range 0 to 100 under the General tab. When an order receives a fraud score over the score threshold it will be highlighted in the order list. Try setting it to 50 initially and adjust it if you get too many false indications.
• Enter your Maxmind minFraud license key under the Maxmind tab. You can find your license key by visiting here and logging in with your Maxmind account.
